Diddy faces life in prison over shocking sex trafficking allegations

Prosecutors in the sex trafficking case involving Sean “Diddy” Combs have alleged that the music mogul once compelled a male escort to urinate in the mouth of his former partner, Cassie Ventura.
Opening statements began on May 12, following the completion of jury selection.

Combs has previously entered a plea of not guilty to several charges, including racketeering conspiracy, two counts of sex trafficking, and two counts of transporting individuals for prostitution.
During her remarks, Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson claimed the incident took place at one of Combs’ notorious “freak offs”—elaborate parties allegedly involving male escorts and women who were reportedly coerced into sexual acts.

According to Johnson, it was during one of these events that Combs forced the unidentified escort to urinate in Ventura’s mouth, after which she reportedly said she “felt like she was choking.”
The prosecution also cited a 2016 video that allegedly shows Combs physically assaulting Ventura—kicking, hitting, and dragging her through a hotel hallway.
Additionally, male escort Daniel Phillip testified that he was regularly hired and paid—sometimes up to $6,000 per session—to have sex with Ventura. He claimed that Combs would occasionally direct or record the encounters.
Phillip also told the jury that Ventura once asked him to urinate on her, according to People.

Cassie was actually the one who asked me to urinate on her, he recalled.
She asked me if I had ever done that before, then told me to do it. Apparently, I wasn’t doing it right, because they both corrected me.
The witness stated, adding,
I felt like I was dealing with someone who had unlimited power. Even if I went to the police, I believed I could still lose my life.
Last week, Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team revealed plans to argue that Cassie Ventura was an active participant in mutual acts of violence during their relationship.
Ventura is also expected to testify during the trial.
The founder of Bad Boy Records was arrested in Manhattan on September 16, 2024, and was subsequently indicted by federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York.
Combs faces additional allegations of sexual abuse involving 120 individuals, including women, men, and a 9-year-old boy.
If found guilty of racketeering, he could be sentenced to life in prison. A conviction for sex trafficking would carry a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years.
