Wike: I didn’t collapse

During his Thursday inspection of FCT projects Nyesom Wike denied social media claims about his recent collapse because he viewed these reports as an effort to secure trivial political gain.
Wike addressed rumors concerning his health state during site visits of FCT projects including visits to the International Conference Centre (ICC) with repeated declarations of his dedication to his responsibilities.
He aimed to silence those who spread baseless rumors because he refuses to validate their activities. As an individual person I exist as a human instead of a spirit entity which would give way to death from health-related problems but I am a person who will suffer such consequences. Unfortunately, I did not collapse.”

The speculation disseminated through X suggested Wike experienced a collapse during his Friday Abuja event before medical professionals transferred him to an unknown hospital for care.
The minister publicly emerged following days when he participated alongside other dignitaries in a visit to President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa for Sallah homage.
His state of good health during the meeting diminished prior medical speculation about his health status.
The reports suggesting Wike collapsed were denied by his media aide Lere Olayinka who stated they were completely untrue.
