The White House has issued a health update on President Donald Trump following his recent routine physical examination.
In a statement released Sunday, White House physician Dr. Sean Barbella confirmed that the President is managing high cholesterol with medication and has elevated blood pressure but is otherwise “fully fit.”

Dr. Barbella also noted that the 78-year-old President is up to date on all recommended vaccinations.

This update marks the most detailed assessment of President Trump’s health since his return to the White House in January for a second term.
Barbella wrote in his report,
“President Trump exhibits excellent cognitive and physical health and is fully fit to execute the duties of the Commander-in-Chief and Head of State.”
WHAT THE REPORT SAYS
The report reveals that President Donald Trump’s high cholesterol is “well-controlled” through two medications: rosuvastatin and ezetimibe, which are the generic versions of the branded drugs Crestor and Zetia.

It also outlines that total cholesterol levels should ideally be under 200. At his physical in January 2018, Trump’s total cholesterol was recorded at 223. However, subsequent readings showed improvement: 196 in early 2019 and 167 in 2020. The most recent report, issued on Sunday, lists his total cholesterol at 140.
Trump’s blood pressure was recorded at 128 over 74, which is considered elevated. Individuals with elevated blood pressure are at an increased risk of developing hypertension.
Additionally, the report mentions scarring on Trump’s right ear, a result of a gunshot wound he sustained from a would-be assassin during a campaign rally in Pennsylvania last year.
Dr. Sean Barbella’s update also includes a reference to Trump’s past battle with Covid-19, though further details were not provided in the report.
