Social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has been released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He was arrested last Friday, May 2, following what the EFCC described in a statement released on Tuesday as “serious allegations of financial misconduct” brought forward in multiple petitions.

His detention sparked nationwide protests by youths calling for his immediate release.
He was released this evening and is currently in the company of his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju.
