Samsung co-CEO Han Jong-Hee passes away at 63

The co-CEO of Samsung Electronics Han Jong-hee succumbed to heart failure at age 63 on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack according to the company staff who spoke to AFP.
The spokesperson from Samsung declared that Han Jong-hee passed away from a fatal heart attack on Tuesday. He left behind his wife and their three children.
Han entered the Samsung employee ranks in 1988 and excelled at making the company’s premium television products gain worldwide recognition.
Through his work Han took a leading role in presenting Samsung’s high-quality LED television products to the world according to Samsung’s official biography released this month.
The company continuously demonstrated its technological dominance due to the various innovations he developed according to the firm.
The company recognized Han as the one who propelled Samsung TVs to reach the global market leadership position and maintain it.

Worldwide Samsung Electronics maintains its position as the core operating subsidiary of South Korean conglomerate Samsung group which operates through Asia’s fourth largest economy as the largest family-run business entity.
The third-generation leader Lee Jae-yong from the Samsung family currently holds the position of chief for Samsung Electronics but Han did not belong to that family tree.
Professor Kim Dae-jong from Sejong University in Seoul believes that the TV market leader position of Samsung might suffer serious damage from Han’s death.
The extensive years of TV industry experience Han dedicated to Samsung is expected to create prolonged impacts on its global expansion approach following his departure.
The same trend exists for Samsung alongside LG and TCL as they continue embedding growing amounts of AI into enormous display screens which show potential for becoming intelligent digital assistants usable throughout homes.
