Russia finally responds to Trump’s “angry” remarks about Putin

The Kremlin has responded to US President Donald Trump’s anger over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposal for a temporary Ukrainian administration under a new leader, aiming for a peace deal.

Trump expressed his frustration with Putin’s stance, specifically his proposal to remove Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky from office.

Responding to President Trump’s comments, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov clarified that some of the reported quotes were paraphrases, acknowledging the various statements. Despite this, Peskov affirmed Moscow’s continued collaboration with Washington on rebuilding bilateral ties and achieving peace in Ukraine.

“We continue to work with the American side, first of all, on building our bilateral relations, which suffered enormous damage during the previous administration,” Peskov told reporters on a regular conference call.

“We are also working on implementing some ideas related to the Ukrainian settlement. The work is underway, so far there are no specifics that we would have to inform you about.”

When asked about the potential for a call between the two leaders this week, Peskov stated that it is not currently on Putin’s schedule, but it could be arranged quickly “if necessary.”
