NNPC: Mele Kyari’s allies dismissed in major restructuring

Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) terminated numerous senior employees through dismissals because new leader Bayo Ojulari implements substantial organizational adjustments.

Brand-new checks from Vanguard revealed Bala Wunti, former chief at NAPIMS, Ibrahim Onoja, Kaduna Refinery’s managing director and Lawal Sade who served as both NNPCL trading chief and managing director.

The restructuring resulted in Maryam Idrisu obtaining the NNPC Trading managing director position along with Obioma Abangwu as chief liaison officer in charge of board affairs.

Tacit report has emerged indicating that changes will extend throughout NNPCL organizations and its subsidiaries through the management appointment of Engineer Bayo Ojulari as Group Chief Executive Officer yesterday.

According to the report the restructuring plan commences at NNPC headquarters along with its subsidiaries covering Upstream and Gas and Power and new Energy and Downstream and Non-Energy businesses.

The restructuring according to the company’s announcement seeks to assign qualified staff to their suitable roles after the new leadership demonstrated commitment toward oil and gas industry goals.

The NNPC E&P Limited (NEPL) alongside NNPC Upstream Investment Management Services (NUIMS) and NNPC Energy Services Limited (EnServ) together with NNPC Engineering and Technical Company (NETCO) and NNPC New Energy Limited (NNEL) as well as NNPC Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC) and NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML) with NNPC Gas & Power Investment Services (NGPIS) comprise all businesses facing impact.

They also include NNPC Trading Limited (NTL) NNPC Retail Limited (NRL), NNPC Shipping Limited (NSL), NNPC RefChem Limited (NRCL), NNPC Downstream Investment Services (NDIS), Nigerian Pipelines and Storage Company Limited (NPSC), National Energy Reserve Management Company (NERMC), NNPC Non-Energy Investment Services (NNIS), NNPC Foundation Limited/Gte, NNPC Academy, NNPC Properties Limited (NPL), and Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) and Research Technology and Innovation (RTI).
