King Sunny Ade debunks rumoured kidnap

Veteran Juju musician Sunday Adegeye, widely known as King Sunny Ade, has released a short video refuting claims that he is missing.

Earlier, LIB reported that the singer’s daughter, Damilola Adeniyi, expressed concern about his whereabouts. She alleged that her brother, who also serves as King Sunny Ade’s manager, had “abducted” their father and was keeping him in an isolated location against his will. Damilola further claimed that he was being forced to perform at events without his consent.

However, in a recently shared video, King Sunny Ade denied his daughter’s allegations, explaining that his children mistakenly believed he had been kidnapped because he was away on vacation.
The 78-year-old music legend thanked his fans for their concern and assured them that he is safe and was not abducted.
My children wanted to see me, they thought I was kidnapped after I went away for a few days to rest. But I thank God, I was not k!dnapped and I didn’t k!dnap myself.
Earlier, Dayo issued a statement assuring the public that the music icon “is safe and sound.”
