ICPC urges healthcare workers to act with integrity

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) now demands that Nigerian healthcare professionals should preserve absolute professionalism and integrity throughout their public service duties.

The ICPC Resident Anti-Corruption Commissioner (RACC) for Lagos State Mr. Chukwurah Alexander fsi made his appeal during his recent official meeting with Federal Medical Centre (FMC) management staff in Ebute-Metta, Lagos.

During his speech Mr. Alexander highlighted that professional conduct during service delivery creates direct impacts on public governance trust levels. Professionalism along with comprehensive dedication and absolute integrity remain essential factors for qualified service delivery.

Staff need to show ethical behavior at all times according to Alexander who stated that integrity displays its values in both observed and unobserved settings.

He emphasized the need for perpetual workplace education about anti-corruption law requirements and best practices which allows public service employees to deliver transparency and accountability.

Dr. Adedamola Dada as the FMC-Ebute-Metta Chief Medical Director received the ICPC delegation with gratitude before restating his dedication to hospitalwide ethical and professional standards.

The institution achieved multiple accomplishments during the past seven years through implementing electronic medical records with no paper dependency and installing continuous electricity supply throughout day and night.

Dada, who noted that these initiatives were introduced to curb corruption, enhance transparency, and improve service delivery, assured the Commission of the hospital’s readiness to collaborate on initiatives that promote anti-corruption values among its staff.
