‘I fell into depression after buzz around my song faded’ – Tolibian

Nigerian singer Tolibian has revealed he struggled with depression following the decline in attention after his viral hit, Ramadan, lost momentum.

The song gained massive traction on social media during the Ramadan fast between February and March 2025, even attracting rapper Odumodublvck, who collaborated with Tolibian on a remix.

In a recent chat with content creator Akin Abolade, Tolibian shared that the fleeting nature of the song’s success took a toll on his mental health, leading to a period of depression.

“After the buzz of ‘Ramadan’ faded, I became depressed at some point,” he said.
The singer, however, expressed confidence that the song will regain popularity during the next Ramadan, calling it “evergreen.”
Tolibian also vowed to keep pushing until he lands his next big hit.
