Harry Kane wins his first trophy as Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have secured their record-extending 34th Bundesliga title after Bayer Leverkusen were held to a 2-2 draw with Freiburg on Sunday.

The title was clinched in dramatic fashion, despite Bayern playing out a 3-3 draw with RB Leipzig the day before.

In that match, the Bavarians overturned a two-goal deficit to lead 3-2, only to concede a last-gasp equaliser in stoppage time. As a result, Leverkusen needed a win against Freiburg to keep their title hopes alive, but their failure to do so ultimately handed Bayern the championship.

The victory represents a significant milestone for English striker Harry Kane, who claims his first major club trophy after numerous close calls during his time at Tottenham Hotspur. Since arriving at Bayern last summer, Kane has been instrumental in their domestic success, making a major impact through both his goal-scoring and leadership.

This latest Bundesliga title further cements Bayern’s dominance in German football, marking their 12th consecutive league triumph in a remarkable era of continued success.

Despite experiencing periods of inconsistency this season, Bayern’s squad depth, experience, and resilience ultimately made the difference in a title race that saw little genuine competition as the campaign progressed.
