Workers within the Federal Government will receive their outstanding five months of N35,000 wage award payments.
Director (Press and Public Relations), [Mokwa] at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) announced in Abuja that the Federal Government distributed wage award payments of five months in periodic installments before planning to pay remaining arrears at N35,000 each month for five installments.
The July 2022 month saw President Bola Tinubu authorize the setting of N70,000 as the national minimum monthly payment. The implementation process for Federal workers faces limitations due to budgetary restrictions imposed by the government.

OAGF indicated that payment of the wage award arrear instalment will follow the April 2025 salary release.
No part of the wage award arrears will accompany April 2025 salary payments because OAGF planned to pay them right after the salaries are disbursed.
The Federal Government defied any obstacles to completely execute all staff remuneration and welfare policies and agreements to foster efficiency and productivity enhancement.
