Unilorin student sets new guinness world record

Kazeem Sanusi, a 400-level Mathematics student at the University of Ilorin, has set a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Mathematics Lesson, clocking an impressive 31 hours, 42 minutes, and 54 seconds.
The record-breaking lesson, observed by Guinness World Records officials, surpassed the previous benchmark of 26 continuous hours of teaching.

Sanusi’s remarkable achievement drew applause from a captivated audience, including the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, SAN; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Prof. Adegboyega Fawole; Registrar, Mr. Mansur Alfanla; Dean of Physical Sciences, Prof. Abdullahi Alafara Baba; Acting Dean of Student Affairs, Alex Akanmu; and Student Union President, Comrade Victor Agezeh, among others.
He now awaits formal confirmation from Guinness World Records.

Congratulating the student, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Egbewole stated, “The University is extremely proud of Kazeem’s achievement. We will continue to support and encourage our students to pursue their passions.”
Prof. Egbewole also expressed confidence that the supportive atmosphere created by the University’s management will motivate more students to push boundaries and earn global recognition for themselves and the institution.
