Easter: EFCC boss urges Christians to reaffirm core values

Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Executive Chairman Mr. Ola Olukoyede expressed his happiness to Christian communities for celebrating the resurrection and death of Jesus Christ.
He required Christians to use Easter learning as motivation to recommit themselves to zero tolerance for corruption and virtuous conduct.
On Saturday April 19 2025 Mr Ola Olukoyede provided his remarks during the Abuja Easter celebration service.
During his statement the EFCC leader identified Easter for its symbolic meaning of restoration and renewal in society against corruption.
“Easter season offers opportunities of renewal, revival and restoration to Christians. I wish this season will bring back the essential need for integrity along with transparency and noble values for national development, the director prayed.

The leader emphasized how Jesus Christ underwent major sacrifices to save humanity and established these ideals as essential for constructing a nation and achieving sustainable development.
The national rebuild requires each Nigerian regardless of their background to give extra energy toward making sacrifices which may prove challenging. According to him every Nigerian belonging to any social group must participate in this national effort.
The Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives praise from him for aligning perfectly with Christian interpretations of resurrection and revival. The faith we have in Nigeria must persist without falter. Our national development and reform quest should gain power every day.
Olukoyede reaffirms his dedication to fighting corruption while demanding absolute determination from all stakeholders in the anti-corruption initiative.
He declared “We have started our work in the ploughing field and we absolutely cannot return to our previous position.”
