All members of the House of Representatives from Delta State under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The announcement of their defection was made by the Speaker of the House, Tajudeen Abbas, during Tuesday’s plenary session.
It is worth noting that former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and the current Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, had earlier left the PDP for the APC. Their defection was revealed during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Asaba, the state capital.

In the wake of these developments, Ikenga Ugochinyere, the lawmaker representing Ideato Federal Constituency in Imo State, disclosed that two more state governors and about 40 lawmakers from the PDP are also preparing to defect.

Meanwhile, former Senate President Bukola Saraki has expressed confidence that the PDP will bounce back, emphasizing that those choosing to leave the party are free to do so.
