Fubara remains my political son — Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, referred to the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, as his political son despite their ongoing differences.
In an interview with BBC Pidgin published on Saturday, Wike dismissed rumors of a feud, saying he cannot be at odds with his son.

He clarified that the conflict wasn’t with Fubara himself but with those he believes have been turning the governor against him.

He said,
That one is not a battle. He (Fubara) is my boy, he is my son, why will I fight with him?
I’m only fighting against people who want to steal what they did not work for.
