Nigeria names officials for 4th AU MSME forum planning

President Bola Tinubu officially endorsed the establishment of a managerial body that will supervise Nigeria’s organization of the 4th African Union Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Forum from June 23 to 27, 2025 in Abuja.
The forum’s central theme is ‘Building Resilient MSMEs through Digital Innovation, Market Access & Affordable Financing for Africa’ according to Stanley Nkwocha who serves as Senior Special Assistance to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President).
The entity succeeds in organizing and scheduling the upcoming event that consists of panel talks and displays and networking moments in addition to business presentations and awards for entrepreneurial excellence.

Senator Ibrahim Hadejia performs as the committee chair with his position as Deputy Chief of Staff to the President (Office of the Vice President). The committee consists of Dr. Jumoke Oduwole who serves as the Minister of Industry Trade and Investment together with Dr. Bosun Tijani who holds the role of Minister for Communication Innovation and Digital Economy and Hon. Hannatu Musawa who serves as Minister for Art Culture Tourism & The Creative Economy and Sen. John Owan Enoh who serves as Minister of State for Industry Trade and Investment.
The group includes Nonye Ayeni from the Nigerian Export Promotion Council and Aisha Rimi from the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission as well as Dr. Olasupo Olusi from Bank of Industry and Zacch Adedeji from Federal Inland Revenue Service joined by Abba Bello from NEXIM Bank together with Charles Odii from SMEDAN and Dele Kelvin Oye (Esq.) from NACCIMA. Host country coordinator and secretary duties are carried out by Temitola Adekunle-Johnson who serves as Special Adviser to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs and Anthony Alonwu from African Union Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs provides support.
The 2022-initiated AU MSME Forum serves to drive MSME expansion together with enhancing regional business transactions and developing local value creation networks across Africa. The hosting responsibility between member states shifts to Egypt followed by Ethiopia and Namibia in previous forum editions.
