At the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) made an arrest of Aisha Sulaiman Achimugu who is a prominent business executive.
The legal statement from her representation confirmed Achimugu arrived voluntarily at 5 a.m. from London before she received her arrest at that time.
The court action formed part of the EFCC investigation concerning both criminal conspiracy and money laundering charges.

Acheimugu confirmed her decision to attend her EFCC appointment before the Abuja Federal High Court through legal documents according to her lawyer.
The court of Justice Inyang Ekwo authorized this order that would require Achimugu to meet with the anti-graft agency on April 29, 2025.
The court ordered Achimugu to appear twice before it as the first appearance took place on April 29 while the second commitment to appear was scheduled for April 30, 2025.
