Enugu council begins roadwork to improve access to smart schools

The Awgu Local Council of Enugu State started constructing road paths to smart schools in all 11 wards of the council area. Council Chairman Uche Kolo explained that the program was initiated with the construction of a four-kilometre road supplemented by suitable drainage infrastructure, which included two box culverts and seven ring culverts serving the Agbogugu Smart School.
Governor Peter Mbah’s transformative plan for Enugu State focuses on expanding education and medical infrastructure because this development is supported by his Special Adviser (Media), Tochukwu Chukwu.
He stated that the new road infrastructure would enable easy transport to vital institutions such as Agbogugu Ward Farm Estate, Agbogugu Girls Secondary School, and the redesigned Type 3 Primary Health Centre, Agbogugu. This would enhance local agricultural practices and healthcare delivery, as well as educational opportunities in the area.
The projects are projected to bring major development and economic advantages to Agbogugu residents and all people in the Awgu community, according to Chukwu.
