Hisbah denies assaulting Katsina woman

Hisbah Board in Katsina State officially states there were no genuine incidents involving violence towards female citizen Hauwa’u Lawal.
The Hisbah Board Deputy Commander General Operations Malam Mohammad Shu’aibu presented the official statements during his Sunday conference in Katsina.
A viral video footage showed Lawal telling about being assaulted by the Katsina State Hisbah Board personnel which broke her leg and affected her hearing capacity.
When visiting her brother who was detained by the board she suffered the injury she described.
Officials swiftly captured one person who turned out to be the sister of the female detainee.

The personnel prevented her entry because of her inappropriate clothing but she refused to accept it and tried to strike one of them.
The suspect displayed an expired identification document as well as the Ex-Boy card.
The suspect watched as young people attacked the event personnel at Katsina city event center since he considered their conduct unprofessional.
The staff members asked the man to show proof of his identity during the conflict but he stated he was a soldier before it became clear he did not represent the military forces.
The board lacks an x-ray showing proof of the family’s claims that the suspect has a fractured leg since his relatives have not presented it for review according to the staff member.
Shu’aibu explained that the board functions to combat immortality within the society with additional responsibility to train personnel for professional and disciplined conduct during their work activities.
Hadiza Yar’Adua along with other officials of the ministry launched an investigation into these incidents.
The investigation process will finish before we deliver our results to relevant authorities for proper reaction she told us.
