UCL: Arsenal thrash Real Madrid 5-1 on aggregate as Inter knocks out Bayern to reach semi-finals

Arsenal have knocked Real Madrid out of the UEFA Champions League with a 2-1 victory at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
The Gunners arrived in Spain with a commanding 3-0 advantage from the first leg.

They had an opportunity to widen that lead in the first half when they were awarded a penalty, but Bukayo Saka’s weak attempt was comfortably saved by Thibaut Courtois, leaving the game goalless at halftime.
Saka redeemed himself after the break, breaking through the Madrid defense to delicately chip the ball over Courtois, effectively putting the tie out of reach for the hosts.

Although Vinicius Junior capitalized on a defensive miscommunication between David Raya and William Saliba to pull one back, Gabriel Martinelli sealed the result with a composed finish on the counter.
Mikel Arteta’s side will now face Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals, with a place in the final on the line.
Inter secures 2–1 win over Bayern

Inter Milan secured their place in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals following a thrilling 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich at the San Siro on Wednesday night, sealing a 4-3 aggregate win.
The second leg remained goalless through the first half, but the action intensified after the break, with all four goals coming in the final 45 minutes.
Harry Kane opened the scoring for Bayern in the 52nd minute, converting a well-worked move initiated by Leon Goretzka to give the visitors a lifeline.

Inter responded just six minutes later through Lautaro Martínez, who coolly slotted home to bring the match level at 1-1.

The momentum quickly swung in Inter’s favor when Benjamin Pavard struck in the 61st minute, finishing off a pass from Hakan Çalhanoğlu to restore the Italian side’s aggregate advantage.
Bayern refused to back down, and Eric Dier equalized in the 76th minute after a clever assist from Serge Gnabry, making it 2-2 on the night. However, despite their efforts, the German side couldn’t find the decisive goal, as Inter held on to advance 4-3 on aggregate.
The match featured a few disciplinary moments as well, with Kim Min-Jae (28′), Eric Dier (45’+1), and Marko Arnautović (69′) all shown yellow cards.
