The singer suggested that this individual has a track record of luring budding artists, ultimately hindering their success, and he has pledged to disclose their identity in an upcoming interview.
In a mysterious post on X this Tuesday, Banks said,
One day, I’ll take an interview to talk about someone in the corners of the entertainment industry who’s either absolutely clueless or plain demonic.
Somehow, the brightest budding talents fall in their lap, and either through cluelessness or pure demonic activities, they agree to policies that effectively slow these talents down and, for some talents, frustrate them from pursuing their dreams. One day…

His post led to speculation that he was alluding to someone from his previous label, Mavin Records, where he rose to fame. However, Reekado Banks later clarified in another post that he was not referring to his former record label boss, Don Jazzy.

He wrote,
It may not be obvious to you all, but I’m not referring to Baba J [Don Jazzy]. Ejo lol, pls n thanks.
